Apple recently announced the following updates in its operating systems and devices:
· Apple OS X El Capitan for Macs (available September 30)
· Apple iOS 9 for iPhone and iPad (available September 16)
· iPhone 6S and 6S Plus (available September 25)
· iPad Pro (available in November)
These sound great! Can I use them at WCMC?
As with any new upgrade in operating system or device, ITS does extensive testing to ensure all of our ITS-supported software is compatible. In the past, we have seen initial incompatibilities in services like Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and WCMC email.
Therefore, although we do not anticipate issues with these new technologies, we highly recommend that you wait to upgrade your device's operating system or buy a new device until ITS has completed its testing. This only applies to devices used to access WCMC systems, not personal ones.

If you use a third-party application at WCMC and are unsure of whether it will be compatible, please visit the Roaring Apps site for information. Please note that it typically takes vendors approximately 30-60 days before they fully support their products upon release of a new operating system.
