NYP and WCM Internet Separation

In an effort to better secure its campus network environment, New York-Presbyterian is changing the way they connect to the Internet. From October 14 at 10 p.m. to October 15 at 4 a.m., NYP will separate its network infrastructure and internet connectivity from Weill Cornell Medicine.

How will this affect you?
If you have a WCM ITS-tagged machine and work in an NYP facility, you may be impacted in the following ways:

  • NYP may be implementing slightly different Internet site restrictions. If you encounter internet-related issues (e.g., not being able to access sites that you need for work), please contact the Service Desk.
  • If you log into the Weill Business Gateway (WBG), you will no longer be able to access the site directly at wbg.med.cornell.edu while sitting in NYP space. You will need to go through myApps (myapps.weill.cornell.edu). Please note: myApps now requires using Duo to log in when you are outside the network. All WCM faculty, students and staff can register for Duo at https://duo.weill.cornell.edu and more information can be found on the ITS Website.

 How do I use myApps?

  1. Go to: myapps.med.cornell.edu
  2. Log on using your CWID and password (make sure CUMC is selected in the drop-down menu). If it's your first time logging in to myApps, you will need to download Citrix:
3. Click on the Weill Business Gateway (WBG) icon to go to the WBG page.
