ITS is pleased to introduce Box, our newest cloud storage service, to Weill Cornell Medicine! Box is a simple and secure cloud collaboration solution that allows you to access your content anytime, anywhere, from almost any device.
How does Box work?
With Box, you can take advantage of unlimited storage space, and manage your files from multiple devices, as well as who can view and edit them. You can also share unique links to your files and folders and use Box's drag-and-drop interface to upload files into your account. You can see a short demonstration of how easily it works:
How do I access my Box account?
Just go to box.weill.cornell.edu and enter your CWID and password. Then, you can start uploading and organizing your files! Please note that high-risk data should not be uploaded into Box (read Section I of our Data Classification policy to understand what constitutes high-risk data).

Is Box free to use?
Box is available free of charge to:
- Exempt, non-exempt, and temporary employees at WCM
- Full-time, employed faculty at WCM
- Postdoctoral associates (excludes postdoctoral fellows)
- Students, including certificate, masters, MD, and PhD programs (excludes Tri-Institutional PhD students)
- Temporary employees from agency at WCM
