Videoconferencing

Information Technologies & Services (ITS) provides network connectivity, management, and basic troubleshooting for Polycom videoconferencing codecs. Videoconferencing is a popular solution for gathering geographically disperse people into a single meeting.

ITS does not provide connectivity or support for videoconferencing equipment from other companies, such as Tandberg or Sony.

This service is for codecs that are purchased by a department and permanently installed in a particularly conference room or office. If you are interested in using a video conferencing system for your event, please contact theĀ Event Services Office.

What's Included

  • Network connectivity, including firewall policy management.
  • Codec configuration and management through ITS' management console.
  • Installation of the WCMC videoconferencing directory on your codec, which includes known codecs from WCMC, the Ithaca campus, and WCMC-Q.
  • Basic troubleshooting assistance through the ITS Helpdesk.

Cost and Fees

There is an annual cost of $350.00 per connected videoconferencing codec.
