Description
On Thursday, Oct. 15, at 3:30 p.m., network testing will temporarily create a full network outage in several NYP buildings for approximately 10 minutes.
How Will This Affect You?
While the network testing does not impact WCM buildings, WCM staff who utilize space and equipment in NYP offices will be unable to access:
Internet services
Landline phones
Cloud services
EHRs
WOWs
NYP Wi-Fi access
Some WCM Wi-Fi broadcast in shared NYP spaces
Some cellular phone service
NYP logins/Duo authentication
Pneumatic tubes
Other network-dependent resources
Affected buildings include:
Helmsley Tower
F/J/K/L/M/N Buildings
Baker Pavillion
Greenberg Pavillion
Starr Pavillion
Payson Pavillion
Whitney
Annex
ATSC (half of MN building)
Payson House
DHK Building / Alexandra Cohen Hospital
Please plan accordingly. Some services will be available during the short outage (red emergency phones, elevators, mobile devices using cellular service with Wi-Fi disabled, and Rover and Haiku using cellular service). However, please refrain from conducting any critical work that cannot be interrupted during the testing window. If possible, you can also move to WCM buildings and connect to institutional Wi-Fi to complete work.
