Office 365 is Microsoft's cloud-based email and desktop application service. It combines the functions of Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Office products into a web-based, cross-platform system.
All faculty, staff, and students are given a WCM email account that can be accessed from the Microsoft Outlook application, a web browser, or your mobile device. Your email account is your CWID, followed by @med.cornell.edu. If you are logging into Outlook or o365.med.cornell.edu off campus, you may need to use Duo MFA.

Cost and Fees
All WCM faculty (including voluntary faculty), staff, and students receive a WCM email and calendar account at no additional cost. This also includes mobile access.
For best results, we recommend accessing your email account via Outlook on the web (“Webmail”). This is the preferred and best email client to use as it works on all platforms. Otherwise, ITS recommends the use of the Outlook app on Windows, macOS, and mobile devices. You may also use Apple and Windows Mail to access your WCM email, but not all features from Outlook are available and ITS may provide only limited/best effort support.”If you do not have any of the aforementioned clients, you can access your account through the Office 365 web interface anywhere you have an Internet connection.

What is the maximum file size I can email as an attachment?
The maximum file size is 25 MB if you are sending the attachment via Outlook or Webmail. To send larger attachments up to 35GB, use the File Transfer Service.
What is Focused Inbox?
Focused Inbox helps you focus on the emails that matter most to you. It separates your inbox into two tabs—Focused and Other. Emails you need to act on right away are in the Focused tab, while the rest wait for you in Other. You can switch between tabs at any time to take a quick look.
Focused Inbox is available to all Office 365 customers using the Monthly Channel of Office 365 ProPlus, in Office 2019 for Windows and Mac, and in Outlook for iOS and Android. It replaced the Clutter feature in Jan. 2020.

How do I search for NYP contacts in Outlook/Webmail?
NYP is still in the process of migrating to Office 365 for its email system, so it is currently not possible to search for updated NYP contacts using the Global Address Book in Outlook or Webmail. Later in 2022, we will work with NYP to re-visit options for a possible shared Outlook Address Book, so please stay tuned for more info.
