Plagiarism Prevention

Turnitin is an Internet-based plagiarism-prevention service which checks documents for unoriginal content. Results can be used to identify similarities to existing sources or can be used in formative assessment to help students learn how to avoid plagiarism and improve their writing.

Cost and Fees

Turnitin is available at no additional cost to faculty.

Service Requirements

Faculty who are interested in using Turnitin within a Canvas course should refer to Creating a Turnitin LTI Assignment in Canvas.
