Information about NLR network

After 10 years in production, the National Lambda Rail (NLR) network will shut down permanently on Monday, February 17. Partially in response to this, ITS has increased the Internet2 network connection from 200 megabits to 1 gigabit. Most network traffic bound for the NLR will instead reroute through the Internet2 connection. Data shared with institutions not on Internet2 will instead travel over the standard Internet connection.

How will this affect you?
We do not expect that any services will be impacted by this network shut down. This change should not affect any campus network connections or Internet connections.

What do you need to do?
