Update on power outage at 575 Lexington Avenue on 2/28

As mentioned previously, ITS will need to power down its data center located at 575 Lexington Avenue due to an electrical shutdown planned by the building's management. The data center will be powered down from 6 p.m. on Friday, February 28 to 4 p.m. the following Saturday.

How will this affect you?
As a result, you may experience intermittent connectivity or be unable to use the following services:

  • Conflicts of Interest (COI)

  • Epic Prescription Printing

  • Epic Scans

  • File Transfer Service (transfer.med.cornell.edu)

  • General Electric Centricity Business (GECB)

  • Grass (Sleep Center)

  • MD Audit

  • Men's Health Systems

  • myPassword (mypassword.med.cornell.edu)

  • PaperCut printing services (Library, Education Center, and Patient Resource Center)

  • POIPA

  • POPDC

  • RightFax

  • Sequencer

  • SharePoint

  • Steamsoft

  • Talk (Jabber)

  • Thor

In addition, computers, phones and other electronic equipment will be turned off at 575 Lexington during this electrical shutdown. There is no need to unplug your equipment.

What do you need to do?
Although this shutdown is occurring during off-peak working hours, several of our services will be affected and it is vital to plan accordingly. We recommend completing any necessary work in the aforementioned services and saving it prior to the shutdown.
