Library’s annual art show winners

The Samuel J. Wood Library celebrated the opening of its 27th Medical Complex and 12th Virtual Complex Art Show with a reception on Wednesday, November 1. This year, 67 artists submitted a record number of 172 pieces of photography, paintings, sculptures, and other media. The artists represented the WCM community and its affiliates, with a high level of participation from WCM physicians and students from the class of 2021.

Art show winners

Terrie Wheeler, Library Director, and Dr. Michael Stewart, Vice Dean of Weill Cornell Medicine and Chief Medical Officer of the Physician Organization, announced the winners of both the physical and virtual shows. The winners were selected by artists Jacqueline Sferra Rada and Sueim Koo, who reviewed each submission for originality and quality of execution. Sherisse Brown, the Wood Library’s Education and Outreach Coordinator, curated the pieces and arranged the placement over 100 artworks in the library's physical space.

Visit the Library’s website for the list of winners.
