Mar. 11: Biobanking with OpenSpecimen

Tech Tuesday

Biobanking with OpenSpecimen

Tuesday, March 11

12 noon – 12:45 p.m.

Are you overwhelmed with spreadsheets trying to track all your samples? OpenSpecimen, WCM's biospecimen information management system (BIMS), enables investigators to track chain of custody of samples and report on inventory. In this session, we'll demonstrate how to:

  • Accession samples into a new study
  • Track freezer inventory
  • Distribute samples internally and externally
  • Create custom reports and share them with your team
  • Link to EHR data

This session is ideal for researchers and academics looking to enhance their efficiency and data management.

Presenter: Julie Oetinger, Research Informatics Clinical & Translational Services
