The worlds of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Extended Reality (XR) are evolving rapidly, especially in the applications of this technology to medical education, clinical training, and research.
ITS offers limited support for WCM faculty, students, staff who wish to connect their personal AR/VR/XR devices to the network in a safe and effective manner. We are committed to further exploration of this field in order to expand our support capabilities in the future.

Guidance on how to connect a device to an available WCM network, and the best locations on campus to use them

Cost and Fees
Students, staff, and faculty who wish to connect an AR/VR device to the Apollo wi-fi network can do so at no additional cost.
WCM faculty and staff who would like to connect an AR/VR device to the WCMC network will be required to register (i.e. tag) their device. Fees for Non-Standard Devices: IoT Devices apply.
Consultation fees may apply for more robust support
Service Requirements
Any AR/VR/XR device connected to a WCM network must comply with policy 11.10 Device Minimum Security Requirements.
