About our Data Centers

ITS manages four data centers in various campus locations, housing the very heart many of our systems and data. To protect these services, we employ cutting edge technology to ensure our systems are running smoothly. This includes consistent monitoring of the data center, disaster recovery plans, backup systems, and other measures to keep our services online with minimal downtime. 

BRB Data Center

The BRB Data Center is our newest enterprise class, state-of-the-art facility located in the Belfer Research Building. The 4,000-square-foot space employs improved architecture to lessen downtime, maintains an enhanced cooling environment, and is generator-supported to ensure continuous power.

Security

The Network Operations Center (NOC) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all WCMC data centers. The NOC is open 24 hours a day with various shifts, ensuring a manager is onsite at all times to supervise any scheduled work and perform quality checks. All requests to access the facility are carefully screened, with visitors being escorted at all times for utmost security.
