In-person help for Intune installation

ITS is now offering additional in-person help for switching to Microsoft Intune on smart devices requiring access to institutional Wi-Fi and WCM apps. Updating your device by Dec. 31 is critical to avoid security vulnerability as Ivanti MobileIron will no longer be supported.

Do you need to install Intune?

Intune is not a requirement unless you need to use WCMC Wi-Fi or certain clinical apps like Epic Haiku/Canto/Rover. Intune is software that allows secure access from your smart device.

Here’s how you can get assistance with installing Intune:

SMARTDesk Conversion Days

Bring your smartphone or tablet to the SMARTDesk in the Wood Library on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – no appointment needed. Note that appointments may take 30-60 minutes, so please plan accordingly.

Prior to visiting the SMARTDesk, please ensure your device’s operating system is up to date to minimize the time needed to complete the installation.

Are you planning to get a new device by January 2027?

We recommend waiting to install Intune until after you have your new device.

Special installation events

Departments seeking to update devices for multiple employees in one place can elect to schedule an installation day at their location. To participate, please contact your ITS Department Liaison with your preferred date, time, location, and number of employees.

Other ways you can update your device

You can also update your device on your own at your convenience.

If you currently have the Ivanti Mobile@Work app installed on your device, follow these directions to switch to Intune:
