Starting May 18: Network upgrade at Lasdon House

ITS will be working on a network upgrade in Lasdon House that will improve wired and wireless services on floors 6-15. Work will be done in phases starting Monday, May 18 and continue until early July

While we will do our best to mitigate any disruptions in wired and wireless internet/phone service, note that there will be some days where service will be temporarily down. Please plan accordingly. 

Phase 1 (May)

ITS will be working with a vendor onsite at Lasdon House to update network switches and cabling in multiple IT closets. This will bring down network services on several floors at a time:

Phase 2 (June-July)

Once new network switches have been installed at Lasdon House, ITS will be replacing wireless internet access points around the building. This will require ITS and vendor staff to access rooms where access points are currently installed. Wireless service will also be intermittently available as the team does its work. We ask occupants to be mindful of any staff who may need to enter a room to quickly switch out equipment:

What do you need to do? 

Please take note of the schedule and plan accordingly. Should you need internet access during this upgrade, please consider using another space on campus, such as the Wood Library. Contact the Service Desk if you experience issues with your internet connectivity in Lasdon House after work has been completed.
