PrinterLogic

PrinterLogic is an app that allows faculty and staff to print documents from nearby printers on campus. Once the app is downloaded from the WCM App Store and installed to a tagged computer, users can locate the nearest tagged printer and send files to print over our secure network, while on campus or off campus.

PrinterLogic is only available for Windows and Mac computers that are managed by ITS. At this time, printing is limited to ITS-managed multi-function printers listed in the app.

Note: WCM students should use the PaperCut app to print on campus.

Cost and Fees

PrinterLogic is available at no cost to desktop/laptop devices managed by ITS.

Service Requirements

To use PrinterLogic, you need:

  • A tagged Windows or Mac device with a modern internet browser
  • The PrinterLogic app installed from the WCM App Store
  • Proximity to tagged printers on campus

What’s the difference between PrinterLogic and PaperCut?

PaperCut is a printing service used exclusively by WCM students.

What do I do if a printer is not appearing in the PrinterLogic app?

There are three common reasons why a printer may not be appearing in the app:

  1. The printer is not managed (aka tagged) by ITS.
  2. The printer is new and has not yet been mapped to the WCMC network. You can make a connect request on myHelpdesk. 
  3. You have an existing desktop printer that was not included in the PrinterLogic app due to privacy concerns. If your printer needs to be added to the app, you can submit a request through myHelpdesk.
