New ITS Remote Work Attestation Launched

Due to an increase in our remote workforce during COVID-19, ITS launched a revised data attestation process the morning of April 14th. Roughly 4,500 WCM faculty and staff have received an automated email notification from ITS Communications with the subject line Remote Work Attestation – ACTION REQUIRED.

Not everyone at WCM will need to complete this attestation. If you did not receive this email, you do not need to complete the attestation at this time.

The Remote Work Attestation is an online form that documents how faculty or staff work from remote locations, the devices used (whether managed by ITS or not), and use of best practices to safeguard WCM data, in compliance with our security and privacy policies.

Faculty and staff have 45 days from the receipt of an attestation action email to complete the form. Reminder emails will be sent as the deadline approaches. Should someone fail to complete the attestation by the deadline, they will be blocked from accessing most WCM systems. Access can be restored by completing the attestation.

Departmental leaders looking to check the status of their department for compliance by contacting their Liaison.

For questions, comments, or concerns about the Remote Work Attestation, please contact the ITS Service Desk.
