Google has announced that its new web browser, Chrome, is available for Windows as a beta release. Beta software is by definition unfinished, which can cause instability, crashes, or data loss.
ITS does not support applications that are in beta. As such, ITS recommends WCMC faculty, staff, and students not use Chrome when accessing university systems and web sites. The browser has not been certified for compatibility with ITS services; consequently, you may encounter technical issues and support will not be provided. Chrome will be tested and certified for WCMC use when Google releases a final version.
