Update: Sources from the Macworld Expo have indicated that Microsoft Office 2008 will be available to enterprise customers no sooner than February 1st. Please note that ITS will not be releasing the software for WCMC users until after it has been qualified some time in early February.
Microsoft has announced that Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac OS X will be released on January 15th, 2008.
ITS reminds WCMC faculty, students, and staff that all current versions of Microsoft Office are covered under the Microsoft Office Campus Agreement. The software will be provided free of charge upon release and qualification sometime after January 15th. As such, ITS recommends WCMC faculty, staff, and students not to order the software, as such purchases would be redundant under the campus agreement.
