Recently, ITS interviewed frequent hardware purchasers and many of you told us that it takes way too long for orders to be processed. To help speed things up for you, we’re simplifying the approval process for some standard hardware purchases.
What is changing with the procurement approval process?
Beginning on June 6, 2017, when you submit a SciQuest shopping cart for a standard Windows computer through ePlus, ITS approval will no longer be required. Removing this approval means that ePlus will receive your purchase order more quickly, and you will experience improved turnaround time on standard hardware purchases.
In the coming months, we will also simplify the approval process for standard Mac products purchased directly from Apple.
Note: All other SciQuest Shopping Carts from other vendors, as well as any custom hardware orders will still require ITS approval. The existing quote process is not affected by this change and will remain the same.
