Get bioinformatics help at the library

Earlier this year, the Samuel J. Wood Library officially introduced its Bioinformatics service to help faculty, staff, and students analyze complex biological data. Dr. Peter Oxley, Associate Director of Research Services, provides insight about the many tools at your disposal via live demonstrations, walk-in clinics, and one-on-one consultations.

Our Bioinformatics service covers topics like available databases and software, data management, phylogenetics, gene expression analysis, data visualizations, and more. Over the summer, weekly demonstrations and walk-in clinics have been placed on hold until the fall, but Peter is still available for one-on-one consultations. If you’re interested in receiving guidance about any of the aforementioned subjects, please contact Peter Oxley at pro2004@med.cornell.edu. More information is available on the library’s website and the Bioinformatics GitHub page.
