This fall, Apple will no longer support iTunes U private hosting. Currently, Weill Cornell uses this service to allow students and faculty to download Panopto lecture videos to their iPads via CWID and password for offline viewing. As a result, ITS recommends moving over to the Panopto iPad app by Monday, August 17. The Panopto app preserves streaming and downloading lectures, as well as manipulating playback.
How will this affect you?
Effective September 1, you will no longer be able to download lectures via iTunes U.
What do you need to do?
To download lectures, please use the Panopto iPad app. If you do not currently have this app, you can download it from the Apple iTunes store at no cost.
Please note that streaming lectures will remain unaffected. You can continue to stream lectures at stream.weill.cornell.edu, or by using links provided in Canvas.
