Library releases new LibGuide for writing Case Reports

The Wood Library is pleased to announce the launch of a helpful new LibGuide for writing Case Reports. LibGuides are an extensive collection of guides authored by our in-house expert librarians. They cover the many facets of medical research, from using EndNote to writing grants, to preparing to publish.

This new LibGuide, Case Reports, is designed to walk clinicians through the process of writing a Case Report and getting it published. A Case Report does not have to be about a new disease – instead, a case report can contribute new knowledge to the understanding, diagnosis or management of a known disease. Ideally, it should provide insight that can lead to further research on the topic, such as previously unreported observations of a known disease, unique diagnostic procedure to diagnose a disease, or previously unreported complications. The Case Reports LibGuide includes a checklist to help you structure the narrative of your report, as well as a rich collection of online and YouTube resources.

You can find the Case Reports LibGuide, along with the complete list of available LibGuides, at med.cornell.libguides.com. If you need assistance, our clinical medical librarian team is here to help.
