Fewer things are as panic-inducing as your computer crashing in the middle of working on an important file. Whether it’s due to a hardware malfunction, ransomware, a stolen device, or spilling your morning coffee on your laptop, losing data is stressful, but preventable with the right tools!
Starting today, ITS is pleased to offer Code42’s CrashPlan as a backup and security solution to ensure your hard day’s work is never lost or compromised.
What CrashPlan does
CrashPlan provides:
- Automatic backups. CrashPlan runs automatically and silently in the background, continuously protecting the data created and stored on desktops and laptops. You can also back up up to four devices.
- Self-restore data in minutes. Just one click restores a lost file to the device of your choice — no IT help needed.
- 24/7 access. Access your backed up files anytime, anywhere, on any device.
- Unlimited space. Storing a lot of information? That's okay. There are no limits to the amount of data you can back up; this also includes PHI and PII-related info.
How much is CrashPlan?
You can secure your data using CrashPlan for a little over $4 per month ($50 per year).
