NEW: Find patients via radiology & pathology reports in EMERSE

EMERSE (Electronic Medical Record Search Engine) is a web application that identifies groups of patients based on important concepts mentioned in their clinical notes and other free-text documents. For example, EMERSE could identify all patients who had a mention of the term "triple-negative breast cancer" in any note in the electronic health record.

Previously, EMERSE only allowed searches within notes from Epic encounters. With this new enhancement, you can now search within radiology and pathology reports in the EMERSE repository. This significantly expands the number of available documents for querying.

How to request access

If you currently have an EMERSE account, these reports are already available to you. If you do not have access to EMERSE, you can request access via myHelpdesk.

Access requirements

EMERSE contains protected health information. Only users with IRB approval to access patient data can use EMERSE, and only for the purposes outlined in their protocol.
