You're invited to SMARTFest 2013!
All WCMC faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend our SMARTFest on Thursday, December 19, 2013 starting at 10 a.m. in the Uris Auditorium.

What is SMARTFest?
ITS and the Library are celebrating one year since the SMARTDesk's opening in the Samuel J. Wood Library. We'll start in Uris Auditorium, where we will present a quick review of 2013, and then look forward to some of the significant information technology projects planned for 2014. After the presentations, we move to the Library where we hope you will join us for pizza and meet with our staff to learn more about some of the technologies and services we offer.

SMARTFest is one of the new ways ITS and the Library are reaching out to the WCMC community to show how they can assist you in your role at the College.

We will have tables set up to provide information on the following services:

• Virtual Desktop (VDI) Developments


• VIVO Researcher Directory


• Microsoft Lync Chat Client


• Drupal Content Management


• Library Data Consulting


• Library AppLab


• UpToDate online resource for clinical questions


• DynaMed clinical reference tool

And more! ITS and Library staff will be on hand to answer your questions about these services and any others you may be curious about.

Can I try these services for myself?
Yes! All attendees are invited to demo these services in the Library after the presentations in Uris. You can also make appointments for upcoming library data consultations and AppLab sessions.

What else should I know?
Everyone is invited! ITS will be providing lunch and refreshments to all attendees after the presentations.
