Learn about Lync at the Library!

Earlier this year, ITS introduced you to Microsoft Lync Beta as a new WCMC solution for communicating with your colleagues at WCMC and NYP. Lync allows you to communicate with others at WCMC/NYP via chat sessions, conference bridges, or through online phone calls similar to Skype. You can even use your mobile device to send messages, make calls, and share documents via Wi-Fi.

Starting Friday, August 8, ITS will be hosting short demos in the Library Collaboration Room with quick tips on how to use and download Lync. Stop by any time during the time slots below, grab a snack, and learn more about this free service available to all WCMC faculty, staff, and students!

Additionally, if you bring your laptop or mobile device to the event, we can help set up Lync for you!

If you currently use Spark as your chat client, please note that this service will be retired in the near future to make way for Lync, which has more robust services.
