Apple will soon be releasing a new version of their Mac OS X operating system called "Lion". At this time, we are recommending users do not upgrade to Lion until ITS is able to fully test compatibility and confirm vendor support with PGP and other ITS supported applications.
Please note that when compatibility and support are confirmed, the Mac App store will not allow a PGP encrypted machine to upgrade to Lion.
Computers that are encrypted will need to be decrypted before Lion can be installed which will require support from an ITS Technician. Also note that if you have PGP installed on your computer, please call ITS Support before doing any OS upgrades, i.e. 10.5 "Leopard" to 10.6 "Snow Leopard".
Thank you.
