ITS reserves the right to remove IP addresses allocated to an ITS-supported device for wired and/or wireless connectivity that has been unused for six months or more. This process may be invoked at the discretion of ITS. Once an IP address has been removed from a device, the device will not be able to connect to the WCMC network through that network interface unless explicitly reconnected through ITS.
As this process does not represent a change in the support status of a device or a formal disconnection, devices that have IP addresses removed will not be reimbursed or refunded any fees collected, nor will the support cost of the device change.
In the event that a device that has been disconnected through this process needs to be restored, please contact the ITS Service Desk for assistance. Users will not be charged a reconnection fee in this instance, unless the device had been formally disconnected by request. If disconnected, the user must submit a Network Connection Request form and will be charged the standard reconnection fee.
