ITS will be moving our RightFax incoming fax system over to an improved cloud server on Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
What do you need to do?
If you would like to check your faxes, or access the new system to send faxes, please visit rightfaxhosted.nyp.org/rightfax/user/ (make sure you are connected to AnyConnect VPN if you are off campus to access this site). Click WCM from the institutions listed, and log in with your CWID and password. You can view the full instructions on myHelpdesk.
RightFax account users can also send faxes directly from Outlook.
How Will This Affect You?
We do not expect any service disruptions during this upgrade. Incoming fax numbers will roll over to the new system. In the event an incoming number has a brief lost of connection, there will be a busy signal and fax machines and services will attempt to retry the connection. There will be no change to received faxes that currently get delivered to emails, distribution lists, or printers. Please note that Xerox and other multifunction devices will have changes in workflow at a later date.
