4/30 – 5/1: WBG service disruption

Incident

Description

ITS will be performing a Disaster Recovery test on Friday, April 30th at 8pm EST - Saturday, May 1st at 7:30 pm EST [Qatar: Saturday, May 1st at 3am – Sunday, May 2nd at 2:30am]. During the testing window the Weill Business Gateway (WBG) will be inaccessible. This proactive testing will be done to ensure system recovery in the event of a major incident.

Will I be able to view my pay stubs during the testing?
No. Pay stubs will be inaccessible during the aforementioned timeframe. If you need to view your pay stubs, please do so prior to the maintenance.

eTime users only
Note that eTime will also be unavailable during the testing. Please see below if you usually perform critical functions, such as clock-in/out, during this time.

Managers & Exempt Employees
During the downtime, you will be unable to submit leave requests or make changes to your time sheet. Managers will be unable to approve or review their employees’ time sheets or schedules. It is highly recommended that you submit/approve your time sheet prior to 8 pm on April 30, although you will be able to submit/approve time sheets after WBG comes back online at 6 pm on Saturday, May 1.

Non-Exempt Employees
Non-exempt employees can clock in and out during the downtime using the new Clock-In app. Recorded times will automatically sync to the Weill Business Gateway (WBG) on Monday after the system is back online, and the Desktop app is open and in Online mode. More details about Clock-In >>

How do non-exempt staff download Clock-In?
We strongly encourage all non-exempt staff with ITS-tagged computers to download the app from the WCM App Store. View instructions.

When downloading and using the Clock-In app, please keep in mind:
• The app download may take 5-20 minutes, depending on your internet connection and computer. If you encounter any download issues, please reach out to the ITS Service Desk.
• To ensure your clock-in/out times are recorded appropriately, please do not close the app immediately after clocking in/out. We encourage you to leave the window open or minimize it on your desktop during your workday.
• If you share a computer with another WCM employee, you must be logged in to the computer under your account to clock-in/out. The user that is logged in displays in the upper left corner of the App.
If you cannot download the app and need to record punches over the weekend, please work with your supervisor, time admins and/or timekeepers to record your missing punches on Monday after the system is back up.
