How Will This Affect You?

If you have a Windows device, please leave your computer on after 7 p.m. this evening in order to accept the security update from ITS. You will see a notification on your screen at some point over the next two days to begin the update; accept the update if you see it. However, if you are not around your computer and don’t accept the patch within an hour of the notification being onscreen, the patch will begin automatically. Note that you do not need to be on the WCMC network to receive the security update. We recommend turning off all instruments connected to your Windows device. If you forget to leave your computer on this evening, the security update will be applied to your computer the next time you log into your device.
