Zoom version 6.0 is now available to all WCM users. With this latest update, you’ll see the following features:
Look and Feel
New name: Zoom is now named Zoom Workplace app.
Tabs consolidation: Meeting and Calendar tabs have been consolidated.
End of support for Windows 7 and 8
Updated color themes and visuals: The Zoom desktop app has been overhauled with a new color scheme and icons, available in the app’s settings. These color themes are applied to the global navigation bar, and the in-meeting window.
New tab feature during screenshare: In a meeting where a screenshare is taking place, you’ll see two tabs at the top of the screen. Click the Meeting tab to see attendees, and click the screen tab to see the screenshare.
Meeting Prep
Out-of-Meeting Whiteboard: This allows you to prep your whiteboard before a meeting, upload documents, etc.
In-Meeting Features
Personalized in-meeting toolbar: Personalize the in-meeting toolbar by dragging-and-dropping to add, move, and remove meetings feature options to suit their needs. Buttons can be reordered, or dragged to/from the More menu. Additionally, the floating screen-sharing toolbar is updated and simplified to make it easier to use and more focused on core tasks while presenting during a meeting.
Multi-speaker video layout: This new video layout provides meeting participants a more engaging experience, dynamically adapting to current speakers by highlighting and enlarging their video tiles over others, while still providing a view of other participants in a smaller gallery view below.
