
On Thursday, July 31, ITS will be implementing a new tool to report phishing that is native to your Outlook account. When you receive a suspicious message, you can simply click the Report button:

This is part of our efforts to transition from the third-party Proofpoint security system that has been included in your Outlook account. As a result, the Phish Alarm button in your Outlook account will no longer be available after July 31:

How do I report phishing messages if I do not use Outlook?
If you use another email client to access WCM email (e.g., Apple Mail), you can continue to report phishing messages by sending the suspicious message as an attachment to spam@med.cornell.edu.
What happens to my phishing reports?
ITS Security’s response to suspected phishing reports will remain unchanged. Reported messages will be automatically routed to ITS and deleted from your inbox. Once ITS reviews your submission, you will receive an email analysis report within 15 minutes confirming whether your message was a phishing attempt:
