NYP is in the process of replacing old Avaya desk phones (which start with 746-xxxx) with a new Cisco model to substitute an older phone system that will soon be retired. NYP staff are currently visiting all buildings throughout 1300 York Avenue to survey your network plugs in preparation for this change in equipment.
How will this affect you?
No phones are currently being switched. This is just a survey of how the network is set up in your office. As staff check the network, there will be a brief disruption to your internet or phone connection.
What do you need to do?
Please facilitate their work, if possible. If you are unable to be interrupted for the survey, please ask them to return at another time. If you experience any issues after the survey, please contact ciscosupport@nyp.org.
