Who this message is for:
All Epic users who add and edit insurance coverages.
What is happening:
We are aware of an issue verifying electronic insurance eligibility for multiple payers. The Epic system is not receiving a response to an eligibility request and the registration Checklist appears to be stuck in a Verifying status.
We have engaged with our eligibility vendor Experian Health to investigate this matter and are actively monitoring this issue with the vendor.
How this will affect you:
You may not receive an eligibility response or you may be waiting for a long time for a response. Please continue with your registration, visit check-in, check-out and billing workflows. Once the vendor resolves the issue, responses will be processed automatically into the patient’s chart. For workqueues affected by this issue, please skip those patients items and Epic will automatically update the workqueues once the issue is resolved.
