Earlier this week, Apple released its new operating system, macOS Mojave. ITS has been testing the new macOS to ensure its compatibility with WCM standard applications.

Should I upgrade to the new macOS Mojave 10.14?

We highly recommend waiting to upgrade due to some issues reported in Apple community forums. If you still want to upgrade or have already upgraded, please review these important notes:

What is i2b2?

Informatics for Integrating Biology and the Bedside (i2b2) allows faculty, staff, and students to determine how many patients meet a given set of clinical criteria using de-identified electronic health record (EHR) data. Data sources include Epic, Allscripts/Eclipsys, Eagle, and the NYP Tumor Registry, for patients seen by Weill Cornell physicians in the outpatient setting and at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Queens.

Upcoming schedule and topics

During the month of September, we’ll be hosting these topics. Download our flyer to keep at your desk:

After a long week of orientation, the first-year medical students had a little friendly competition during the Samuel J. Wood Library’s annual Treasure Hunt. On Friday, August 24, nine teams of students scoured the library for clues using their newly-issued iPads and QR codes, each clue bringing them closer to the grand prize. The event helps new students learn about our extensive library resources and unwind from a hectic week.

The library has been holding the Treasure Hunt since 2006.

Our 3rd Annual Adobe August Month was a hit with the WCM community, bringing in 105 attendees who wanted to learn more about the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Since we began offering licenses to WCM faculty, staff, and students three years ago, Adobe August has become a means to help beginners become familiar with the Creative Cloud interface, and understand the basics of simple graphic and web design, and video editing.
