Phishing, vishing, smishing – words that sound like they’re straight out of a whimsical Dr. Seuss book, but that can have a very detrimental impact on your personal life if you encounter them.

You’re likely already familiar with phishing, which are attempts by hackers to gain access to your personal information via fraudulent emails. However, email solicitation is just the tip of the iceberg.

Our online training library, Lynda.com, is now LinkedIn Learning! This upgrade completes a transition made several years ago when LinkedIn purchased Lynda.com. You’ll still maintain access to the same great learning content, just under a different name.

What’s new?

With LinkedIn Learning, you’ll have access to thousands of tutorials and courses on a variety of topics, from technology to business skills. However, you may notice two things:

ITS is pleased to announce the beta launch of a new cloud storage tool, Microsoft OneDrive. OneDrive lets you store, share, and collaborate on files in the cloud, saving your valuable hard drive space. It also integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Office.

OneDrive is the preferred method for storing WCM high-risk data, like PHI and PII. In this beta launch it can be used to share files with Weill Cornell Medicine students, staff, and faculty. We are working rapidly to evolve the service, and enable additional features such as external sharing with affiliates like NYP.
