What is i2b2?

Informatics for Integrating Biology and the Bedside (i2b2) enables faculty, staff, and students to query de-identified data from Weill Cornell Medicine’s Epic electronic health record (EHR) system and the NYP Tumor Registry to determine counts of patients meeting certain criteria.

September 22, 2016

On Wednesday, September 28, ITS will be making changes to enhance the security of logging into Webmail (O365.weill.cornell.edu) while off campus. Starting on this date, if you are traveling internationally outside of the United States or our Qatar campus, you will need to register your mobile device with Duo to access Webmail abroad.
 
If you already registered for Duo to use myapps.med.cornell.edu remotely, you do not need to do anything further.

ITS is pleased to offer all WCM students, faculty and staff access to a new data visualization tool, SAP Lumira!

Click here to learn more!

Please note: Lumira is available for download on Windows devices with at least 3GB of RAM. It is also installed on the computers in the computer lab of the Samuel J Wood Medical Library. Lumira is not available via Mac, VDI, or Citrix.

Office 2016 is now available to all Mac users. Note that Office 2016 is only available for macOS Yosemite (10.10), El Capitan (10.11), and Sierra (10.12).

How do I install Office 2016?

You can install Office 2016 on an ITS-tagged machine using Self-Service.

If you upgrade to Office 2016 you may need to upgrade Endnote as well.

On September 20, 2016, Apple will release a new version of macOS: Sierra. ITS has been testing this new version of macOS to ensure its compatibility with WCM Standard applications. Before upgrading your desktop or laptop operating system, please read our findings below:

Earlier this week, Apple announced that the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and an updated operating system, iOS 10, will be released next week.  ITS has been rigorously testing this new version of iOS to ensure its compatibility with applications used at WCM. Before purchasing an iPhone 7 or upgrading your device’s operating system, please read our findings below.

Yes, with the following exceptions:

In an effort to better secure its campus network environment, New York-Presbyterian is changing the way they connect to the Internet. From October 14 at 10 p.m. to October 15 at 4 a.m., NYP will separate its network infrastructure and internet connectivity from Weill Cornell Medicine.
