Remote Apps is a web-based service which allows you to access WCM applications with your CWID and password. Unlike other services, like VPN, which also provide access to WCM resources from off-campus, Remote Apps is browser based and addresses browser compatibility issues that may exist when accessing certain apps.
Remote Apps is ideal for staff to access applications off-campus.
Anyone with access to a fund number can request access to the above applications (with the exception of DataCore) on myHelpdesk by submitting a Remote Apps request form. For DataCore access, please submit a DataCore Request Form.
If you are not authorized to use the department fund number, please reach out to your Department Administrator to get the access.
If you want to publish a new application to the Remote Apps portal, please reach out to the Application Hosting team at RemoteAppsSupport@med.cornell.edu.
Internet access is required to use Remote Apps. Mac users need to install Microsoft Remote Desktop before accessing Remote Apps. Windows users will use the native Remote Desktop client already installed on their computer.
