ITS is in the process of upgrading all Mac and Windows computers to the supported version of the Citrix client (Mac: Citrix Workspace 23.01; PC: Citrix Workspace 22.03). Citrix Workspace is the application delivery software that supports access to applications within myApps, which includes Epic and other clinical apps. This upgrade initiative must be completed by May 1, 2023 to support Epic’s release.
How does this affect me?
ITS will be pushing the upgrade to targeted devices beginning Monday, April 24th. If you are registered as the owner or user of a device that requires an upgrade, you will receive an email communication and the new version of Citrix will be pushed to your computer. You can also install the latest version of Citrix Workspace on your own time using the instructions below.
Important: You may experience unexpected behavior with Epic if this upgrade is not complete by May 5.
If I want to do the upgrade myself, how do I upgrade Citrix Workspace?
Windows:
- Citrix Workspace 22.03 for Windows is currently available on the WCM App Store. You can install the application yourself at any time. Please close all open applications and save your work. The installation will take approximately 30 minutes. Your computer may restart up to two times after the installation is complete.
2. After the installation is complete, you must launch Epic (or another clinical application within myApps that you typically use) to ensure Citrix Workspace is functioning. If you have any issues launching Epic, please contact ITS Support at the information below.
Macs:
