Don’t forget to update your password!

ITS recently updated its password policy requiring faculty, staff, and students to create new passwords of at least 16 characters. If you have not yet done so, please change your password by June 3 to ensure your access to WCM services is not blocked. Omnicell and MOSAIQ users do not need to change their passwords at this time, and have already been contacted regarding how they should set up their passwords to comply with these services’ login requirements.  

 

What do you need to do?  

To update your password:   

1.       Visit identity.weill.cornell.edu and select Change Password in the left sidebar.  

2.       Complete the form to change your password. Review this guide if you require assistance. For advice on creating a strong passphrase, watch this video

3.       Once your password has been changed, make sure you update some of your WCM accounts with your new information. Our Password Reset Guide can tell you which services may need an immediate account update with your new password, like Microsoft Office 365. 

4.       Consider using a service like LastPass to manage your passwords across work and personal accounts. A strong password is useless if you write it down somewhere to remember it!
