Coming soon to O365 Webmail: New login page + Duo integration

A follow-up change to the the email upgrade detailed below will  occur on Friday, July 1 from 9 p.m. - 3 a.m. During the upgrade window you may experience issues logging into email. All mail sent to your WCM mailbox will still be received during this time. Please plan accordingly.

Last year, ITS announced that it would be implementing Duo Two-Factor Authentication to access certain WCM websites from outside of our network. Duo provides an extra layer of security to safeguard your information using an extra “checkpoint” to confirm your identity. In January, Duo authentication became required when accessing myApps internationally. As the next step in Duo integration, WCM will soon require Duo for accessing Webmail from international locations, starting this Summer 2016.

On May 5, 2016, ITS will deploy an upgrade that will result in immediate changes to the login page of Office 365 Webmail. This upgrade will help us to integrate Duo with Webmail later this summer.

How will this affect you?

  • On July 1, the login page for O365 Outlook Webmail will have a new appearance (Pictured below. Top picture: Current login page. Bottom picture: New login page.)
  • This summer, accessing O365 Outlook Webmail from outside of the United States will require Duo two-factor authentication. We will notify you in advance of the exact date of this change.
