Lately, ITS has received multiple reports of fraudulent emails, most recently citing inboxes that are over quota. These suspicious, or “phishing,” scams are attempting to access your personal data, or lead you to malicious websites.

The Faculty Room (A-126) will be closed from Sunday, August 18 to Sunday, August 25 due to scheduled maintenance and repairs.

When making a reservation for this time frame, A-126 will be unavailable. However, ESO will provide a room comparable to A-126 if available.

The Event Services Office is proud to announce that it is offering a new premium Wi-Fi service at Weill Cornell. This premium Wi-Fi service will be offered for a fee during department meetings, external events, and conferences in our centralized spaces. It will provide a means for people participating at events here at the College to gain quick and easy access to the Internet through their personal mobile devices and laptop computers.

Effective immediately, pricing for color printing in the Medical Library has decreased from $1.00 per exposure to 50¢ per exposure. This updated pricing will be reflected in all PaperCut accounts when documents are released for print. Black and white copies are still 10¢ per exposure.

On Monday, June 24, ITS will be introducing PaperCut, our comprehensive print management system, to the Medical Library. All Weill Cornell faculty, staff, and students will have an account already set up to start using this system next week. Here's what you can expect with the new system:

Mailbox sizes increase to 5GB
Starting May 25, 2013, ITS will begin updating all WCMC email accounts to reflect a minimum storage space of 5GB, increasing from 1GB. This change will be done automatically, giving all users significantly more space to store emails at no additional charge. Departments that have been paying for 5GB of space or more will see the change reflected in their invoice after May 25.

ITS is pleased to announce extended hours of operation at our SMARTDesk located at 1300 York Avenue in the Medical Library. The Weill Cornell community can bring their IT-related questions and issues to our SMARTDesk technicians until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The new schedule will be:

Tuesday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
