In late January, Android users at Weill Cornell Medicine will see changes to the way their devices are configured and managed by MobileIron, our Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) tool, as we begin to roll-out Android Enterprise.

Android Enterprise is a Google-led initiative that supports the use of Android devices and apps in the workplace. Google is deprecating support for older device management tools, and Android Enterprise is now the default program for managing Android devices at work.

WCM users ordering Dell Intel computers should expect a 30 day+ lead time for delivery on certain models. The long lead time is especially common for i5 and i7 processors. A quicker turnaround can be expected for i9 processors. This lengthy lead time is due primarily to manufacturing constraints at Dell, where demand for PCs is outpacing their supply. Dell announced plans to increase their manufacturing capacity by 25 percent in 2019, which should eventually alleviate some of their production constraints and facilitate quicker delivery.
